Sarah Jane Fischer recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Garland Burrell in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. As a clerk, she drafted orders and gained experience in a wide range of litigation matters, including environmental cases, massive securities fraud litigation, copyright infringement claims, federal civil rights litigation, contract disputes, employment class actions and employment discrimination claims.

 

Sarah graduated Order of the Coif from the UC Davis School of Law (King Hall), where she served on the Moot Court Board. Sarah earned an outstanding achievement in oral argument award at the Traynor State Moot Court Competition and earned two Witkin awards during her tenure at King Hall. Throughout law school, Sarah served as a tutor for first year law courses and as the chair for the King Hall Legal Foundation, a student run non-profit organization that raises money to support students pursuing public interest legal careers. She is currently a member of Women Lawyers of Sacramento and the Schwartz/Levi American Inn of Court at King Hall.
